Some things are just worth taking the day off for! Donna Sharp has a warehouse liquidation sale twice a year. Well, I have never been before. But somehow, I now think this may become a new tradition. My girls and I had a BLAST! Well, maybe not so much Ruth, as she kept asking if it was time to eat yet (takes after her Momma!) But shopping sometimes trumps eating on rare occasions, ya know! Like Black Friday. Last Black Friday I was so famished, but was on a tight schedule (at 3am I might add) that I stopped at a gas station and ran in and bought a banana!!!! LOL. seriously a banana? I don't know what I was thinking.
Anyways, back to purses!!
I bought this little collection for myself for Christmas. The Crimson design. I love big purses, but I also love the sling over your neck kind for shopping. So I bought this "Hipster" and matching wallet and cosmetic bag.
I will tell you of my SUPER deals here in a minute, but this deal was only about 40% off....which is still a good deal. I paid $20 for the Hipster normally $36, the wallet (very nice) was $10 normally $24, and the case was $3 normally $12. So I think I did well and I love it!
Here's what my Zebra loving daughter picked out for one of her Christmas gifts.
Oxford design. She wanted the skirt to match her purse and coin purse. Her purse is called a Penny Bag which is a bit smaller than the Hipster style. Purse $15, change purse $3, skirt $12. Normal price for purse $28 and skirt $60!!!!!!!
The Pink Passion Hipster and wallet for my middle daughter. So girly and cute. They had lots of Baby diaper bags too in this design. $12 purse $3 for wallet!!!!
And I love what my youngest daughter picked out. We just couldn't find any accessories to match it. This is the Posy Design $15. On sale it is $28 in their Retail store.
But keep in mind these are all put up until Christmas!!!!! Anything bought for my kiddos between the months of September and December go into a tote and sealed until Christmas regardless if they've seen it or not!!! :)
Here's a big steal they had! They had HUGE boxes full of pillows all for $3 each!!!!!!
I bought these cause I thought they were primitivy!
I bought 3 of these because they were $1 and I can use them for my primitive stitching pillows. They are just homespun pillow cases.....saves me time in sewing pillows!
They had these Caban Paisley backpacks for $5!!!!!!!! I bought 2 of them. They are normally $35.
(If you are a relative of mine, please forget that I told you all these prices when you receive these quality purses for Christmas or your birthday, k?)
But just look how cute that is!
and lined so nice!
And this is PERFECT for quick trips or crowded places that you just need the essentials.
A Mini Hipster and wallet. LOVE it! I got the mini hipster for $5 and the wallet for $3!
Okay so here are my deals that I kinda went wild over....
They had these cute little purses of several different designs for $3! A PURSE FOR $3 PEOPLE!
ummm... I bought quite a few of them. Let's just say I am set for little girl birthday gifts and kid's Christmas exchanges. And that little wallet was only $1.
Here's another one for $3, but this wallet is a little bit bigger so it actually cost more than the purse at $5, but still paired together is a great little $8 gift!
And somehow I came home with these two little things on accident. I had changed my mind and put back and picked up that these ended up in my bag by mistake.....however I paid for them so I guess they will end up in somebody's stocking this year!
Now for my biggest purchase............
I finally found Jack a quilt for his "Big Boy" bed!!!!! And this is sooo very nice! It is so comfy. I laid down with him for a bit last night when I tucked him in and loved it. You know how those homemade heavy quilts feel when your tired and cold? Wonderful! This quilt is normally $170 at their retail store. I got it for $40! I'm so excited because you can't even get a cheapo for that! They didn't have any twin size shams, but I found a king size one for $10 so I think it looks fine with it. I really would have bought a quilt for our bed, but my budget was screaming at me at this point! But we had a great time shopping. We left and went to McDonald's (which is a treat because my hubby about refuses to go there). We sat and ate lunch and had a relaxing time as I hinted at the things I had bought them already for Christmas hidden in a tote at home. It was a fun day out for me and the girls. It really is fun having 3 "built- in" shopping buddies.
Here's some pictures of Donna Sharp's FB from the sale.....I forgot to take pics while I was there!
The Bargain Alley is where you get the $3 deals!
They are open again today and tomorrow! You can check more info out here: https://www.facebook.com/DonnaSharpInc

Wow!!! Looks like you found a couple of things! (lol:) I love the hipster style bag too and actually bought one from Wal-Mart for $5 just for my trip to Chicago with Mom & Dad. I love Hannah's bag print. Sounds like such a fun day for you girls...I'd definitely make it a yearly tradition! Why didn't ya'll go to BK to eat afterwards?? hehe!
